Control4 is making it easier than ever to use your current EA5 Entertainment and Automation Controller. With the OS3 upgrade you can take advantage of the fresh interface, new features and personalized options.
The new interface allows you to have your favorite rooms, scenes and devices in your home on your devices’ home screen so the system is even easier to use. If you want to see the main categories like ‘watch’ ‘listen’ or ‘security’ you can just select the Control4 icon in the upper left hand corner. Everything is at your fingertips, but your favorite selections are front and center.
Another great feature is that you can turn a room such as your master bedroom into a control center. Simply ‘favorite’ rooms, scenes and devices to the master bedroom. Before you go to bed at night you don’t have to swipe between rooms to see if the doors are locked or the shades are down, you can just select these settings from the master bedroom.
There is a new filtering option so that you can search by active or inactive devices. In this way, you can see all the lights that are still on at night and turn them off.
Control4 has also updated the music and video experience. “The Active Media Bar includes large album art, easy access to the Now Playing screen, fast volume adjustment with a new slider, and the ability to mute, pause, skip, and thumbs up or down with just a quick tap.”
